Todd Kelly (Nissan motorsport Driver)(Kawasaki Ambassador)
Bryan Hands and Great mateâs Todd Kelly, Robbie O’Brien came up with the idea 12 months ago following a dirt biking ride through Victoria’s high country. So a year of preparation and negotiating times to go, they finally come down to this time and day.
Things needed to complete this âMissionâ: KAWASAKI ULTRA LX , CUSTOM MADE REAR RACK AND DASH ASSEMBLY, 60 LITRE FUEL CELL & LUGGAGE CASE, FITTED LOWRANCE NAVAGATION EQUIPMENT, VHF MARINE RADIO, ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP, WATER SEPARATOR, HIGH VOLUME BILGE PUMP, SATELLITE TRACKING, LIFE CELL. With one ski having 1 extra thing Wilson (its a castaway thing).
The Jet Ski maiden voyage began in the morning of the 12/5/2017 and returned on 15/5/2017. This sounded Impossible for some, as it is the 2nd most worst stretch of Ocean on the planet. With no Assistance Or Back up.
So they headed off from Welshpool, nice calm waters (For Now) almost like the calm before the storm. From here they went through to Deal Island with cracker progress, then waking up to get back on the Skiâs to Flinders Island, with this now proveing to be physically and emotionally challenging. The lads push through to Tasmania. And now to do it all again backwards. All up 720KMâs along with 20hrs on the skiâs.
With all this said the Skiâs performed very well and is up to the task and maybe a little more, if you would even Dare. Ask us more about the trip and why you can feel confident in purchasing your JETSKI from Hands-On Kawasaki.
All of this was done for a Excellent Course to Donate to the MS Society. So far the Adventure has raised over $11,000.00.
